The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that swimming is the most popular recreational activity among children and teens. Disturbingly, however, in 2008, nearly one in eight routine pool inspections resulted in immediate closure due to serious public health and safety violations. Owners and operators of pools have a duty to ensure their pools are safe. If they were negligent and as a result of that negligence you or your child have been injured, you may be entitled to compensation. Examples of negligence are failure to adequately supervise, failure to properly maintain the facilities and failure to warn.
